I think that the most important character in the book would be Annie Sullivan. I think so because she was the one who helped Helen Keller and overcome her blindness. If it weren’t for Annie Sullivan, Helen Keller wouldn’t be the stronger person that she became. I think that Annie is also an important character because she knows how to act the right way with Helen, nobody else could do that. Annie Sullivan also knew how to do things on her own, she didn’t always need help.

I agree with Emily. I think that Annie Sullivan because she's the one that is teaching Helen and as the story goes along it tells about her past life. It also shows the things she has to go through such as being locked up in her room by Helen. The book show that Annie is a good teacher too for her patience and beliefs.

I think that the most important character in Miracle Worker is Annie Sullivan. I think this because without her Helen Keller wouldn't have ever been able to communicate and learn as well as she did. I think that Annie was a huge part in the Keller's life. She shows that even after nine surgery's and beign blind as a child she can teach to the best to her ability.

I agree with all of you girls, however Helen is a very important character also. Helen is the reason Annie is at the Keller house experiencing everything. Without Helen poking around at the dinner table and locking Annie in the room, Annie wouldn't have understand the Keller family and wouldn't have been able to teach Helen with the right techniques. Helen helps Annie learn and process everything that is going on in the book.

I think that the most important character in the book would be Annie Sullivan. I think this because Annie is the one who taught Helen how to understand what everything is by finger spelling. For example in the story Helen has a doll and Annie spells D.O.L.L in Helens hands to make her understand it.

I feel that the most important character in The Miracle Worker is Helen because if it weren't for Helen, this story wouldn't happen. Annie had to come because of Helen and if it weren't for Helen, this story wouldn't be as important. Helen is the main character in this story.

I think that Helen is the most important character in this book. Annie Sullivan is an important character too, but without Helen, Annie wouldn't even be in this story. Helen causes most of the comotion in this house. Helen is the one with the disability, and is the reason Annie is here. Shes the one thats banging or running around, causing problems. Annie is only in this story to help her. Helen is the reason for most of the events in this book. Without Helen, there would be no story.

I think Helen is the most important character in this book. If it wasn't for Helen, Annie Sullivan would never have come to the Keller house and become famous. The whole book wouldn't have taken place without Helen. The events that happen are pretty much all tied to Helen. (Getting a ladder, becasue HELEN locked Annie in, etc.)

I think the most important character of the book "The Miracle Worker" is annie Sullivan. Many people may say Helen Keller is the most important character because the whole story is about Helen Keller, but I belive she would be a regular blind-death person. with annie she become an amazing miracle a way to communicate and be under control all thanks to Annie

I think that the most important person in the miricale worker is Annie Sullivan becasue she is the one that is trying to teach hellen to learn. She wants to teach her so bad and help her learn. This book would be any good without annie becasue she is the one puting most of the work into it.

I think the most importortant character in the miracle worker is annie sullivan because she has to teach helen and helps her throughout her life. without annie helen may never have grown out of her angry, easily annoyed stage and may have been unable to read or communicate forever if it wasnt for annie teaching her. annie also had to have alot of patience to put up with helen because helen was often annoyed and always wanted to be in control. however, annie also wanted to be in control and it was often a power struggle between the two but usually annie would win. without annie helen wouldnt be nearly the same way she turned out to be and we may never have known about her.

I think that the most important character in "The Miracle Worker" is Annie Sullivan. The book is mostly based on Annie Sullivan, and it is also named after her. It includes the history of Annie Sullivan, with her thoughts and flashbacks. Without Annie Sullivan, the story of Helen Keller wouldn't be much of a story. Helen would have just been a blind-deaf girl that nobody in today's world knows about, and our school would have a different name. Without Annie, Helen Keller wouldn't have learned to comunicate, and she wouldn't have become famous.

I think that the most important character in "The Miracle Worker" is Annie because she is the miracle worker. Annie is just blown away by the behavior that Helen has, and she feels like she can change it. Annie shows courage when she finally poors out how she feels because not a lot of people can works with someone disable.

I think that Annie and the flashbacks that she is having are the biggest contributors to the story. Annie is obviouly the one driving the plot, but it seems that the meories are the things driving Annie. I think that, if not for her past experiences, Annie would not be nearly as driven to help Helen. These flashbacks play a huge role in the plot and are the hidden force behind the story. Without this element, The Miracle Worker would not be the same.

I think that the most important character in The Miracle Worker would be Annie Sullivan. I think that Annie is important because she teaches Helen how to fold her napkin, eat off her own plate, eat with a spoon, etc. In addition, Annie is the one who can get to Helen and teach her through many techniques and strategies. To sum it all up, Helen wouldn't have been the way she was if it wasn't for Annie's help.

I think the most important character in the Miracle Worker is Annie Sullivan. The reason I think this is because she is one of the key people in Helens life. Without Annie, Helen wouldn’t be where she was in her life. Helen would not have learned manners, how to speak, how to communicate with other people, etc. Also Annie did not treat Helen as her family and friends treated her. Annie treated Helen as an equal opposed to always feeling sorry for her.

I think that the most important character in the book The Miracle Worker is Annie Sullivan.I think this because Annie Sullivan is the one person who makes a difference on Helen's life. Also, Annie teaches Helen how to spell different words. Some words that Annie teaches Helen are milk, cake, and doll. Annie can teach Helen how to spell and nobody else could do that.

THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER IN THE BOOK I WOULD SAY IS DEFINATLY HELEN. WITHOUT HELEN THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY STORY. ANNIE WOULD HAVE NO REASON TO GO TO THE KELLER'S HOUSE. SHE WOULD NOT EVEN KNOW THEM. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, ANNIE IS A PRETTY IMPORTANT CHARACTER ALSO. FOR ONE THING, THE BOOK IS BASED ON HER. AND SHE DOES KIND OF SEEM LIKE THE MAIN CHARACTER. THE BOOK FOCUSES ON HER ALOT OF THE TIME

I think Helen is the most important character in the miracle worker because without Helen Annie would not come into the book and then the title "The Miracle Worker," would be meaningless, because the Miracle Worker is referring to Annie because she helped Helen to learn how to talk and act.

I think the most important character in The Miracle Woker was Annie Sullivan because Annie is the one that taught Helen everything she knew. Without Annie, Helen would probrably have still been depending on her parents for every thing and when her parents died she wouldnt be able to survive. Also without Annie, Helen would not be able to communicate with people so they knew what she needed or what was wrong. So in the end Annie is the one who Helen really needed for survival which is why I think she is the most important character.

In my opinion the most important character in the book would be Annie Sullivan. Annie is the reason Helen can become successful and disciplined. Annie teaches Helen how to spell and learn languages. Helen would not be famous if it weren't for Annie.

I think the most important character in the book, The Miracle Worker, would be Annie Sullivan. She is one of the main characters, and without her in the story; Helen would never learn discipline, what’s right from wrong, and how to behave. She is the one who has flashbacks about her brother, which makes her more determined to teach Helen. Without Annie, Helen would never learn to communicate or be well behaved. So overall, Annie plays a major role in Helen’s life and in the story.

In my opinion i really think that Annie is the Main character of the miracle worker and i think this because without her there would be no story, for example the story is about Helen learning to communicate with the world and annie helps her do that through sighn language and without annie Helne couldn't do that. So thats why i think annie is the Main character of the story.

I know most of you think that Annie is the main character but,i think that Helen is the main character because without her there would be no story. For example, Annie is hired to help Helen so that she can contact the world around her because she cant see, hear or talk so she cant communicate. If Annie was the main character than after she was done teaching Helen communication through sighnlanguage than the book would tell of her helping other children. So all im trying to say is that the book is about Helen, her problems, being tought to be civilized and to communicate.

I think the most important character in the book The Miracle Worker is Helen Keller. Even though Annie helped her, it was Helen herself who learned. She worked very hard to overcome her challenges.

I think the most important character in "The Miracle Worker" is Annie Sullivan because the book is about how Annie helped Helen Keller overcome her deafness and blindness.

I think that the most important character would be Helen. I think this because she is the one who gets out of a dark life, and the one who the miracle happens to. She was also the one who had all the troubles and finally broke through. Even though Annie was the one who created the miracle, Helen was the one who received it.

I think the most important character in The Miracle Worker is Annie Sullivan. I say that Annie is the most important charcter in the story because she is the one who has the flashbacks about her little brother Jimmy. Also, the book is about a miracle worker who helped save somebody in trapped in a dark and lonely world. Without Annie, there would be no book called the Miracle Worker, and our school wouldn't be called Helen Keller Middle School. Helen would be just like other deaf and/or blind people in the world. Annie helped someone with a disability that was so hard to communicate with.

I think that the most important character in the book would be Annie Sullivan. I think this because without her there wouldn't have been a book because it was about how Helen Keller was taught and if it wasn't for her, Helen Keller would have most likely been untaught her whole life. Helen would have never been disciplined by her family the way Annie did. She would just be a spoiled tricky girl her whole life.

Well, I think that the key character to the Miracle Worker is Annie Sullivan, because she's the one that creates the miracle in the first place, otherwise the book would just be about the troubles of the Kellers trying to deal with a spoiled, blind, deaf child. Although there would be no one to teach without Helen.... ^_^u
