One main character in my book is named Susan Carol Anderson. I would describe her as sly. She is always finding out how to get somewhere or see someone. Somehow, she never gets caught. If I were Susan Carol Anderson, I would be one lucky girl. (Gabby S)

A book I am currently enjoying is called Inside Girl: The Sweetest Thing by J. Minter. A word that would describe the main character, Flan is overwhelmed. Flan has two best friends, Judith and Meredith , a boyfriend named Bennet and a brother and sister, Feb and Patch. Flans's friends are fighting over a boy and Flan's gone under the Adam spell ( Adam's the guy her friends are fighting over) Flan feels so bad that shes not spending enough time with Bennet but doesn't know what to do because all three of them like the same guy, plus her parents went away and her sister is trying to be the perfect role model, which apparently she isn't. Flan is a straight A student with a great attitude but in the middle of the book all that seems to change and you can see "good girl" Flan take a lot of risks and definitely get a lot more in to trouble with her sister, friends, boys, and in school.

I absolutely can NOT name one character. I have to name several.
1. Bobby Pendragon
Bobby is hilarious. The Pendragon series is partly his point of view and partly from the author's, but I love Bobby's point of view. He makes so many jokes! If Bobby didn't exist in these books, I never would have been such a big fan of them. Bobby will take any situation and laugh at it! This character kepps the book exciting.
2. Percy Jackson
Percy Jackson, from the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, is one of the best characters. The books are from his point of view. He's not very smart, and been kicked out of every school he's been to. Then, one day, he finds his dad is the Greek god Poseidon. The god of the sea. He becomes friends with a satyr named Grover and Athena's daughter Annabeth. the series tells of his amazing adventures as the son of Poseidon, and how much his life changes. Percy also develops a crush on Annabeth, and there are many jokes made about that. (If you can't already tell, I LOVE humor. Most of my favortie caharacters are funny. Percy is pretty hilarious.)
3. Jake Berenson
Jake is from the series Animorphs. He is a thirteen-year-old kid who finds out that HE has to lead the fight against an alien race trying to take over his world. Nobody else knows about it, unless they have been taken by the other race or they are also like him: trying to save the world. Unfortuantely, the other people trying to help him are his goofy friends. Jake sees everything in perspective, and he really understands things. He knows he has to fight. He doesn't like it, but he has to. I think he is the greatest character EVER.
4. Edward Cullen
Edward is from the books Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. He's also a vampire that falls in love with a human girl, and she falls in love with him! The story is from the girl, Bella's, point of view. Edward is overprotective and overthinks everything. Oh - and he's a good vampire, don't worry.
5. Jacob Black
Jacob is from the same series as Edward. He's a werewolf who also falls in love with Bella. He's a bit ruthless and tough, but he's very nice most of the time. He likes to laugh, but NOT about Bella possibly becoming like Edward - a vampire.
6. Artemis Fowl
What can I say about Artemis Fowl? First off, he's a boy. I know Artemis is a girl's name, but he's a boy. Artemis is a Irish criminal mastermind. He is the only human to ever separate a fairy from it's gold. In the beginning of his series (Artemis Fowl is the series) he is ruthless and mean. But he softens up a bit as the series goes on... there are five books in this series, and hopefully more to come.
I's better end here. If I think of any more characters, I'll post them.

In the book series, The Clique, If I were to describe "Massie" in one word, it would be privileged. I would call her this because she lives in a very wealthy family and gets to school in a limo. Also, she has so many clothes, she never wears something twice. Almost no one around here gets to do that and I haven't heard of anyone that gets driven to school by a limo!

Coly, that book sounds great and the characters sound intersting to learn about. Is Flan a "popular" girl? Is that why all the boys fight over her?

I would like to add onto Gine response to Artemis Fowl. Yes it is a girls name, and he is very clever. IN the book he seems to come up with the most incredible plans, stuff that you or I would never think of. He is somewhat of a complex character, because at first he is rutheless then he becomes kinder and thoughtful. I like the way he is progressing. It will be interesting to see how he ends up. We will soon find out

one of my favorite characters would have to be Halley from Someone Like You. In the begining of the book, Halley is very close to her mother who is a theripist. They did pretty much everything together. When Halley gets a boyfriend, everything changes. She starts smoking, drinking beer, and going to a lot of parties. She is no longer as attached to her mother anymore. Halley soon gets out of her rebel stage when her boydfriend and her get into a car accident. After that she breaks up with him and becomes closer to her mother once again. She is also ready to give her full support to her best friend who had just had her baby.

another character i really liked was Jenette Walls from the book The Glass Castle. Jenette Walls wrote the book the glass castle. (this book was a memoir and true story about her life) Jenette Walls grows up as a tuff girl. she has to take care of her younger sister and brother with her older sister helping. Her family is beyond poor, not even having enough money for food. Jenette always seemed to see the good in things. Her and her siblings saved enough money to start a new life in NYC, leaving her broke mom and dad to fend for them selves. She becomes a great reporter for a famous newspaper and is living much better than she was. i really liked reading about jenette because she is someone i think a lot of people could look up to. She was someone who had nothing and got her way out of it. :)

Anika, i agree with you on what you said about Massie. She is one lucky girl. I would also feel priveliged, but I would feel really bratty, too. She is always making up the cruelist pranks and sayings to hurt people. That, I could't do, evn if it ment being "cool". (Gabby S)

I read a book that is a quick read and was very good. It's called Missing Since Monday, its about a girl named Maggie and her brother Micheal, Maggie's little sister Courtnay ( whom they call courtie for short) has been kidnapped and since Maggie's dad and step mother are away, maggie and her brother are really scared. Maggie is 15 and micheal is a bit older. Maggie then starts getting calls like " Are you home alone?" and gets really frightened! It is a very suspencefull book for both boys and girls.

I am reading the Clique Series by Lisi Harrison and one of the main characters is a girl named Alicia. Alicia is one of Massie's best friends and one word I would describe her as is "follower". I say this because she never seems to make her own decisons.

The main character in the book I'm reading right now is Alex Rider. A few words I could describe him with would be clever, resourceful, and fearless. He can take any bad situation and find a way out of it immediately. He takes whatever he can find and finds a way to use it against his enemies. An example of his fearlessness would be all the crazy stunts he pulls off, like following his enemies into their bases, spying on them, and then escaping while being pursued by guys with guns.

Gabby, you're right, she is so mean to so many people. Even her friends. I couldn't do that either if it meant being "cool." First she's nice, than horribly mean. The books aren't my favorite, but they are pretty good entertainers.

I would describe Percy Jackson as adventurous, brave, and...well let's say troublesome. He take a number of quests (some of which he wasn't asigned to)and gets the job done, no matter what it takes.

I would describe Artemis Fowl as a crook, he is serious, friendly (when it comes to Butler who is his bodygaurd), and a thirteen year old genius. He outsmarted the fairies, whose technology is decades superior to human technology, then made friends with them.

Artemis Fowl and Percy Jackson. My two favorite characters.

In the book I am reading, Down the Rabbit Hole, the main character's name is Ingrid. One word I would use to describe her would have to be curious. She sees a murder mystery in the newspaper and decides to solve it. When she knows that her parents would kill her if they found out, she sneaks out of the house in the middle of the night to investigate. When she sneaks out of her house she breaks into a crime scene. She never knows when to stop.

Hannah, I agree with your liking of Claire Lyons. She is kind and cool. I like her a lot because she can be popular without having to have all the right clothes and looks. I think thats why she is one of the main characters.

I recently read the book, The Shadowland Mediator. The main character's name is Suze and she is a mediator who can see the dead. I would describe her as being very tough because in the book she comes from New York and is now living in California after moving and in order to chase these ghosts who are constantly bothering her, she justs punches them. She never listens to other people either and is very stubborn.

One of my favorite characters is Bethany, from the book Double Identity. Bethany is an, so to say, an only child who is approaching her thirteenth birthday. But her parents are acting very unusual. Ever since she overheard her dad say, “She doesn’t know about Elizabeth,” Bethany id determined to find out. She is brave and curious. The book is my favorite! It is a great mystery, but unlike other mystery books. It makes you think who the suspect is but in the end it will surprise you. I recommend it to everyone, even boys. (Kaitlyn O.)

Danny Walker was the main character of I book I just enjoyed, Summer Ball by Mike Lupica. In this book, he goes to a basketball camp and his coach dislikes him because Danny's dad didn't go to play college basketball for the team that that guy coached. The coach yells at Danny whenever the team makes a mistake, and it went so far that Danny called his dad to come and pick him up because he said he hated the place. However, he doesn't leave the camp. Then, Danny becomes friends with his team's best player and that was hard for him because Danny's team beat the other kid, Rasheed's teeam in the finals of a national basketball tournament. After Danny makes friends with Rasheed, the coach acts nicer to Danny, Danny is happier, and their team wins a tournament at the basketball team.

One character in the Clique series that I am reading about is Massie. She is the leader of the clique, and one word I would use to describe her is confident. I say this because Massie always seems to come out on top. She always walks with her head held high, like she is better than everyone else. Even if she is nervous, she never shows her insecurities. She is always very sure of herself and always has to be at the top at everything she does.

Another character from the clique series is Claire Lyons. One word that I would use to describe her is independent. Even though she is in the clique, she still doesn't always listen to Massie, because she does things her own way sometimes. Claire has her own opinions, when it comes to boys, and doesn't use Massie's advice. She doesn't always listen to Massie like the rest of the clique. Another independent thing about her is her style. All the other clique members wear Gucci, Coach, and Ralph Lauren (and many more.) But Claire Lyons still likes to wear Gap, Old Navy, and Limited Too, which makes her style so different from the others. These are the reasons that Make Claire Lyon independent apart form the rest of the clique.

I Hannah I comletely agree.Claire Lyons is the nicest person in the Pretty Comittee.I think that's interesting because she doesn't wear the top of the line clothing.

One of the main characters in my book is named Lucy Whipple but her real name is California Whipple. i would descibe as an adventurest person and a little curious. She is always doing what her mother tells her to do but some times she dozes off. If i was Lucy i would be living during the gold rush and i wouldn't be so lucky because there wasn't any technology. I would like to add to what Katie said about Massie from the Cilque series. I agree that Massie is confident, but in addition i believe she ia stubborn at times. When someone questions her, especially from outside of her clique, she tends to get defenssive and fight for herself. She does whatever it takes to come out on top and she usually does. That is what makes her such a strong and powerful leader of the most popular clique. She is not afraid to be mean.

One of my favorite characters is Alex Rider. I am currently reading the book Point Blank, which is the sequal to the book Stormbreaker. Alex Rider is the main character in both. I would describe him as courageous because he figures out how to solve many tricky, and very dangerous situations. Here is a little backround knowledge about Alex Rider: His uncle has just died from a so called "accident," and at his funeral, Alex meets someone his uncle worked with. Alex finds out that his uncle was an undercover spy for MI6, and that he has to take his place. His first mission is to investigate the Stormbreaker, and it's inventor, Sayle. Alex goes through many different obstacles, and always finds a way to overcome them. He is very courageous because he is faced with so many challenges, like finding the entrance to a secret underground factory, getting out of a tank with an enormous deadly jellyfish, and completing his mission alive. I would never be able to do half the things he did. Read the book Stormbreaker, by Anthony Horrowitz, to find out how Alex Rider survived.

I agree with Katie R. I think Massie in The Clique Series is a very strong leader of all her friends. (Alicia, Dylan, Kristen, Claire) As Katie said, she is very confident, but another word I would use to describe her is bossy. I feel Massie is bossy because she always tells her friends what to do. She wouldn't like it if Alicia or any of her other friends was getting more attention than her, so she would boss them around to stay at the top of her "clique"

I am currently reading The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer. One character is Matt, the best word to describe him is confused. He is confused because all his life he was treated like dirt because he was a clone and not a real person. Now he has escaped from this life and is living in another country. Here he is told that clones and actual people are equal. Now he is trying to find out which one is true and just keeps getting more and more confused.

One main character from The Clique Series is named Claire. One word I would use to describe her is shy. She's shy because she is independent and keeps a lot of her comments to herself. She is also very shy because she doesn’t talk that much to her friends. However, in the book she expresses herself and is more comfortable with her boyfriend, Cam. The Clique Series is written by Lisi Harrison.

A book I just finished reading is Perfect by Natasha Friend. The main character Isabelle or Belly has an eating disorder called bulimia. One word to describe Isabelle is insecure. She is insecure because she thinks shes fat, so she decided to be skinny she needed to eat and make herself throw up. Isabelle has a sister named April. April is the one who got Isabelle in trouble and told her mom about what Isabelle does. April is an instigater and likes to get Isabelle in trouble until the end of the book when things start to come together.

The main character in the book I am currently reading, The Cirque Du Freak series, is named Darren Shan. He is an interesting character because he is detirmend, yet confused. In the book, he becomes a vampire and must learn their ways. It is difficult for him to understand their ways because he is so used to the human ways.
