Reading Longer

What is the last book that kept you up reading longer than you planned? Why did it keep you reading? Why do you think this happened?

the last book i read for longer then I planned was The last apprentice the witches revenge. I think this kept me reading because of all the action. like when thomas has to fight the evil witch mother malkin twice. or when he is running from bony lizzie (mother malkins sister?) and tusk(bony lizzie's son). and when he gets thrown in a hole and is given a potion that makes hi m have illusions. thats is why i think it kept me reading.

The last book I read longer than I planned was this book my mom wanted me to read called Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. The book was really good and informational but it took forever to read. Some of the sentences made no sense, and a lot of the vocabulary was difficult to understand. The book was based on a true historical time and I don’t particularly like reading historical books, so that contributed to the length of time. If I had known, I would have read this book when I had more time on my hands (:

The last book that kept me reading a lot longer than planned was actually a series. It was the Twilight series, the three books (so far) being Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. Something about these books makes them kind of addicting; everyone (well, all of the girls) I've talked to about them has agreed. The amazing descriptions and constant turn-of-events in the Twilight series makes them hard to put down- I've been up a lot later at night than I meant to be reading them.

the last book that i read longr than i planned was a book called, "Artemis Fowl". artemis fowl is about this 12 year old boy who is really smart and thinks he can capture fairies, and actually does. but at the same time, his mother is going crazy because her husband died. it is a good book and very interesting. it is also very suspensful.

The last book that kept me up reading longer than I had expected was Jinx. The book sucked me into it instantly because you can never predict what will happen. I was planning to fall at sleep at 10:30 but I read until 12:00 midnight when my dad told me that I had to go to sleep. I have never stayed up that late because of being hooked onto it. Hopefully, there will be more books for me like that so I can become a better reader and enjoy it just as much as I did for Jinx.

Whenever i am reading a mystery book, i always end up reading longer than i had planned. I think it is because of the suspense. I just really want to know what happens next. The author always puts so much suspense at the end of the chapter. (sarah.e)

The last book I read for a longer period of time was "Maximum ride," by James Patterson. I think this book made me stay up later and read longer for 2 reasons. First of all I had really long plane rides to Mexico so I read a lot more. Also it was very suspenceful and it's hard for me to put a book down if it has a lot of suspence

The book I read longer than I had planned was Twilight. This kept me reading because it had so much suspense in it. It also was very descriptive, so I really could picture things. This made me enjoy what I was reading. I think this happened because I had a love for the book in the first three to five chapters. After that, I couldn't stop reading!

The Chicken Soup books take me forever to read. Some people read them in like 2 days, but for me, it takes about 10 days. I think it is because all the stories in it take a while and you have to switch settings and characters and plot in each one, so it gets confusing.

A book that kept me reading longer was a book called The Good Dog by Avi. What kept me reading this book longer was because it wasn't a person telling you the story it was a dog. I didn’t get the hint that a dog was telling the story until the end of the book. So I reread the book and everything made since to me. I recommend this book too. Though it is a little bit of an easy read it is still a really good book.

The last book I read for longer than I planned was Code Orange. In the beginning of the book, it was very dull and I had no idea what the writer was getting at. However, the writer wrapped the whole story with a suspenseful ending. If it were not for the climax of the story, I would of abandoned the book halfway through it.

I USAULY LIKE TO READ ALOT ONE OR TWO NIGHTS AND BEAT MY GOAL SO THAN I HAVE THE REST OF THE NIGHTS FREE. PLUS WHEN YOU GET INTO A GOOD BOOK, ITS HARD TO PUT DOWN. I READ THE BOOK SWINDLE IN ONE NIGHT, ALL 250 PAGES IN ABOUT TWO HOURS. SO NOW I HAVE BEAT MY GOAL AND I DON'T HAVE TO READ FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK ALTHOUGH I STILL DO. IT IS ALSO A GOOD IDEA TO READ LONGER IF YOU HAVE A HARD GOAL TO MAKE. I STILL HAVE TO READ 11 BOOKS BEFORE THE END OF THE MARKING PERIOD

The last series that kept me reading londer than planned was the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. THEY'RE SOOOOOOO GOOD! I'm currently reading Eclipse, and it keeps me reading because it has non-stop action, and a lot of romance. I often stay up until the AM reading these books, seeing as they keep me on the edge of my seat.

The last book that really keeps me reading on was twilight, series. It keeps me reading because there was event after event and there wasn’t a dull moment. It keeps up the good energy all the time. I think this happened because Stephanie Meyer is an amazing author and she really knows how to keep things going. (Kaitlyn O.)

One of the books that in read for longer then i planned was the magic tree house. I found it in a dawer and started to read it. I didnt think i would get as hooked into it as i did. I think it kept me reading because it was exciting and had a lot of suspense. Like when the tree house takes them into the middle of the civil war and they get caught in the middle of the gun fire.

A book I read longer than I expected was the Cirque Du Freak series. I was enjoying this series because of the suspense, and also it's twisted in a way. It's horrible, sad, terrible, but people and me enjoy boos like this.

I read a book, actually three that I really enjoyed. The first is the Secrets of my Hollywood Life series. ( I have read the first two books and she now has a third out, which I hope to read in the future) I think that the author did such a good job with talking about the characters and how it must feel to be someone famous. the author uses such great description and word choice, that it really helps readers picture certain events. I think that another book that was really good was Dairy Queen, its about a girl who lives in Wisconsin and has to take care of her dairy farm, because her dad broke his back. Both of these books I couldnt put down and I recommend them to girls.

The book that made me reading is the Thief Lord because of the suspense that I didn't want to end. I liked the characters and how new parts and people came up with suspense so it wasn't boring as new parts were introduced.

One book that had me reading longer than I expected was The Da Vinci Code by Robert Ludlum. This book is about a cryptologist who has to find the murderer of a man. It was really thought provoking and had a great plot. It also was very suspenseful so I really wanted to finish it and find out what happened. Lastly, it had a lot of history of ancient people and civilizations and I really like history so I read it really long because I found it interesting.
