I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and I saw the movie. The movie is better because you get to see the action instead of visualizing it. The characters looked much different that I thought they would.

The book I read that was made into a movie was, ERAGON by Christopher Paolini. I thought this was a very good book. It has really good description and is easy to understand. It may be long but its a good read and when you've finished it you'll want to read the next one, ELDEST and the third one. This book was made into a movie and i thought the movie was okay but didn't follow the story line as well as it could have.

One of the books that I know was made into a movie was, Because Of Winn Dixie. That was a great book for me to read in fourth grade. I liked that it was made into a movie because the story line that went with the book could also fit in with a younger group of kids. But, a lot of little kids wouldn’t be able to read a book like that because the words might be difficult for them to pronounce and read to themselves. It would make it so much easier for them to get the full meaning of it now that it was a movie. Another good thing that went with the movie is the characters really fitted in with their part. I feel that the Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling series was the best series of movies that were made so far. My favorite so far was The Order of the Pheonix. It was the latest movie and the best. In my opinion, the movies are better than the books because the movies show you pictures of everything and you always know what they are talking about. If you have not seen or read Harry Potter, I extremely recommend it.

I read the book Bridge to Terabithia. I thought the book was a little better because it gave a little more detail than the movie.

I read a book called Eragon, by Christopher Paolini, which was made into a movie, and the book was much better than the movie. The book was hard to understand at some points, but it was very descriptive and had a very good storyline. The movie, however, did not follow the storyline, and now it will be hard to make the sequels of the book into sequels of the movie.

One book that I have read and seen is made into a movie is The Miracle Worker. I liked the book better than the movie. The acting in the movie for the character Helen was almost unrealistic and over the top. In the book it was more of a serious mod to the book. In the movie the feeling was an amusing one. If someone was to only see the movie they wouldn't have a real understanding of Helens life. In the book the description is great and you can put yourself into her shoes. That is only one book that I have seen turned into a movie and I found the book better.

I read only one book by J.K. Rowling which was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I did see that movie and I thought that the movie was better than the book. The book was very good, but I think in the movies you actually get to see what has happend and get a better picture then reading a book and only getting to picture it in your mind.

I read the book Eragon by Christopher Paolini, and the book is very good, including the sequal Eldest. However, I thought the movie was terrible, they didn't follow the storyline at all. This really disappointed me, because there were good parts in the book I would have liked to have seen in the movie. Also, the movie went so much off the storyline, they can't make a sequal to the movie.

The movies are always better because you get to see the action, and drama instead of visualizing it. When I watch movies and read the book of the movies they always surprise me because the actors sometimes don’t really look like the characters and sometimes they act different than the characters. Some examples are Eragon ,and Tuck Everlasting. Its always better to see what really happens so that why movies are better than the books but only sometimes.

I think that the whole SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS should be made into a movie in addition to the first three. As you keep reading the series, the books get better and they get more suspenseful. There is more action, which is great for the "big screen."

My least favorite movie that was made after a book is The Golden Compass. I did not like it because in the movie they completley runed the book because they messed up the ending to make it seem happy. Like they lived happily ever after when that really is not the case in the book.

Even though I read the book Holes by Louis Sachar a while ago, I really enjoyed reading the book and watching the movie. Most of the time when I read a book and watch a movie, I like the movie better. Yet, surprisingly, when I read the book Holes, I liked it better than the movie. I like the book better because I thought It described everything really well, so I understood what was going on the whole time, other than watching the movie.

My favorite book that was made into a movie is The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Barshares. I really liked the movie, but in my opinion the book was better. I think it was better because it had more discription, and the movie was changed, it didn't have certain scenes that the book had. But, I enjoyed both of them.

Well, I liked the Harry Potter books, but I couldn't stand the movies. The first two were okay, but I think they should have just gone the road of two-part movies rather than condensing down. Then they show closeups of Harry's Blue Eyes. They're green. *sniffle*

Anyways, I really liked the Lord of the Rings movies. They did pretty well, especially including deleted scenes on the uber-dvds.

an amazing book that was made into a movie is Someone Like You by sarah dessen.. I don't dislike either, I like them both the same. They didn't take many scenes out for the movie, so you still got the same feeling as reading the book.

The book Eragon is one of my favorite books, however the movie was nothing like the book. A lot of the scenes had either been removed or changed dramatically. I still like the movie but every time I see it, it makes me think of how its nothing like the book so I can’t enoy it as much as I liked to. That's why I think the book is way better than the movie.

The book Eragon by Christopher Paolini got turned into a movie ( like josh said) I really liked the book but the movie didn't really follow and if you didn't read the book first you might have found it confusing. Also the thing I didn't enjoy was that the characters looked different than the ones I pictured in my head, sometimes I think your imagination is better than the movie.

The book that was made into a movie was "Zodiac" by Mark Ruffalo. The book is about the Zodiac killer who lived in San Francisco and was in disguise. When I first read the book I knew it would make a great movie. The movie then came out in 2007 and stared Jake Gyllenhaal and was a horror Blockbuster.

One of my favorite books that has been turned into a movie is Ella Enchanted. I really enjoyed the novel because there were so many emotions flowing throughout the story. The movie was also very entertaining. It had almost every detail of the book. I would have to say that I liked the movie better because I knew the scenes more clearly and the story line was presented in a very clean, understanding way. They were both very good.

One book that I read that was made into a movie is Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz. i really liked the book but I hated the movie. I think that the book is better because you get a better opicture of what is going on, and there is more description in ther book. another reason that i didn't like the movie because the actors in it didn't fit thwe parts

Even though I saw the movie before reading the books, I thought The Lord of the Rings was the best book series I've ever read. I never understood anything in the movie, so I thought the books were going to be bad, when actually, there were really good. Then I became addicted to Lord of the Rings, and I watched the movies again, which looked better than when I first saw them.

A book that I've read and enjoyed was "Where The Heart Is" I read the book and found it very interesting and enjoyable. In my opinion the movie wasn't all that great compared to the book. The movie switched some things around and left other parts out. When I was reading the novel I pictured things so much different than how the movie made them. If someone were to ever want to watch that movie I would suggest reading the book first.

I read a book called The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams. The book was funny but I liked the movie better. This was a science fiction/comedy book and the movie is a lot funnier than the book. I guess that's why I liked it more.

I loved reading the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. I think they are great adventure books and anyone would enjoy them. However, I also love the movies even more than reading the books. I think this is because I am a very visual person and like being able to see something rather than read something.

A book that I really liked that was Ella Enchanted. Though I have to strongly disagree with Gabby S. The movie was horrible. I love Ann Hathaway, but in this movie it is so fake. They leave out many great details and replace many good things. For example when Ella's father marrys an ogre in the book they just show her as a regular human. Also in the book Ella hates her father, but in the movie they show that she loves her father leaving out many important details.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is a great set of books. However, Tolkien takes about four pages to describe something. So, I happen to favor the movies over the books. Besides, the movies are much more epic than the books, and I believe most agree. I hope The Hobbit movie comes out soon. (By the way, Ian McKellen will be playing as Gandalf. Yay!)

@gmail.comOne of my favorite books would be the book Shiloh. I loved this book because I described some traits of the setting, characters and the plot, but it did not describe all of them some I had to make up in my head. I thought this was a very good strategy of writing, because then the reader gets to pick out what the landscapes or some of the features look like, we get to use our imagination. I find this the most fun part of reading because then I can set the book to my dislikes and likes. The movie I thought was a huge bad idea, so books you leave without a movie and for this book it would have been great. I did see the movie and after I saw it I was very upset, because now I see someone else’s perspective and I can’t think of my opinion anymore. I just found it very disappointing to my likes.

The book Eragon is a book that got made into a movie and the book was good, however the movie was not so great. A lot of the pages had either been changed completely. I still like the movie but it makes as much sense as the book, so I can’t enjoy it as much as I liked to. Maybe if they followed word for word the book it might have made sense. That's why I think the book is way better than the movie.

I read the book Eragon (by Christopher Paolini) and I absolutely loved it. It was one of the best books I had ever read, no lie. But I was very disappointed when I saw the movie. It really exaggerated some parts, and others it just cut out. It was a very long book; so it must be hard to make it a movie; but I really thought they could have done better.

My most favorite book series is the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. However, I don’t like the movies as much because they take away a lot of things. For instance, in the first movie, they left out the scene where Harry and Hermione have to drink the potions to get to the Sorcerer’s Stone. This disappointed me, but I still watch the movies because of all the suspense!

My favorite series was made into a television show. "Gossip Girl" started off as just a great series for young girls. When "Gossip Girl" first came out, I was able to keep track of the shows and the books, but I started watching the shows more frequently than reading the books. My least favorite part about "Gossip Girl" being a tevlevision show is that I have given up on what used to be my favorite series.

A book that I liked was Eragon. This has just recently been made into a movie. I like the book more than I like the movie because in the book the author has a good storyline and plot. But, in the movie you only see a distorted image of the storyline. And I like the movie better because I like visualizing the story in my head rather than seeing it on a screen.

A series that I really enjoyed was the Harry Potter Series. It was great being able to picture the magic that was used and the scenery, for instance the womping willow. I hated when they decided to turn it into a movie because then instead of using your imagination for the other books, you had the scenes laid out for you.

I read the book Eragon an then saw the movie. The book was very elaborate and had alot of good scenes and character description. i thought that they cut too many important scenes out of the movie and that it could have been alot better.

Andrew B. said...

I also read Harry Potter, and I saw the movies. The movies had the advantage of being able to more cleary describe characters and settings, as well as enhance action sequences. Watching the movie helped me "Put faces to names" as to the characters of the book. It also eliminated some questions I had about the storytelling. At the same time, the movies have its drwbacks. They skip around sometimes and do not follow the plot as it is in the book. Movies based on books have both pros and cons.
