Kate/Helen

Kate and Helen I feel have the strongest relationship so far in the novel. Kate is Helen's mom, and she is very worried about Helen. She has gone to many doctors but none have helped her. Also, when Helen is misbehaving, Kate has a hard time disaplining her. As we get further into the novel I think that Kate and Helen's relationship will be come stronger, and Kate will treat Helen as more of a regular child.

I think that Annie and Keller have a very interesting relationship. Annie always insists on doing things by herself, she isn’t afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right. On the other hand, Keller believes that whatever he says goes/ is right. Anyone who doesn’t agree with him, he doesn’t like very much and has more arguments with them. Now Keller even wants to get rid of her because he doesn’t like the way that Annie does things. I think that Annie and Keller can try and resolve their problems, but it might take a little while. Also I think that main reason that Keller and Annie’s relationship is so cold is because they have very different opinions on things, which makes it hard for them to listen to each other.

I think Helen is really rude and un-happy of what is happening in her life. She also doesn't know who to trust either. In the beginning of the book Helen doesn't like Annie at all, so I think in the end Annie is going to be one of Helen's friends and she will thank her for teaching her how to do things properly.

Annie/Captain Keller-

Annie and Keller have conflicts all throughout the book. In the beginning of the book Keller doesn't believe that Annie will be able to teach Helen. Her age worries him. Also the way she talks to him upsets him. They go through many conflicts, and by the end of the book they are still fighting, yet Keller is very thankful for what Annie has done to Helen.

Kate and Helen have a very loving and depending on relationship in the novel. In the beginning of the story Helen seemed to depend on her mother for almost everything that she did. Helen needed Kate to be with her at all times and Kate ended up giving in and let Helen do whatever she wanted. I think Kate does this becuase she loves Helen so much that she doesn't want to hurt her at all.
