My favorite quote is by Abraham Lincoln. "You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. I like this quote because it makes sense and it is really strong. In addition, he said this while trying to become President of the United States. This is the strongest quote I've ever seen.

I can’t just pick on quote. Both of my favorite quotes are from the same book, The Truth about Forever. The first quote is, “For anyone of us our forever could end in an hour or a hundred years from now.” That is one of my favorite quotes because it really tells people to watch out because you don’t have your life planned out for you and anything can happen in just a second. My second quote is, “All I could think was that right there, in every passing second, was the future winding itself down.” This is one of my favorite quotes because it is really telling you to live life to the fullest, because the future is right in front of you. I love theses quotes because not only are they meaning full they have a great message to send. (Kaitlyn O.)

My favorite quote was when Christa McAuliffe said, " I touch the future, I teach." Meaning that whenever she learns something she likes sharing it with someone. Also that she was a teacher and that she taught kids everyday. she goes ahead of time and teachs it to the world.

My favorate quote is from the tenth book from Cirque Du Freak. It is when Darren Shan and Harkat Mulds are in the underground kitchen trying to figure out why it is the guardians of the blood are there and it is "Mr. Tiny might have transported them here". It is my favorate quote because it makes you think why the people are there. You have to read the book to find out more.

One of my favorite quotes would be from the book Down the Rabbit Hole by Charles Abrahams. "Don't put off until tomorrow what can be done today." I like this quote because it is never good to put things off until the last minute and it is telling you not to wait... just go for it.

My favorite quote is from an interview with David Ortiz when Joe Torre was about to be fired. David Ortiz said to the press."Every organazation is like a human body. It has a head that if you mess with it it just goes down." I liked this quote because it was a great similie that was true. For example imagine th U.S. not having a head(the president)it would just fall and could be brought to war with no leader. this applies to all organizations especially a organization as large and rich as the Yankees.

I have to agree with Kaitlyn.I do not have a favorite quote. So many quotes are strong and mean something to us in different ways. One of my favorite quotes is " If truth doesn't save us, what does that say about us?" said by Lois McMaster Bujold. I like this quote because we aren't always truthful or say the truth. That does not say something good about us as people. I also liek the quotes that Kaitlyn likes. I have read The Truth About Forever and those quotes are amazing.

My favorite quote would have to be from one of my favorite books Starlet, "Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer. Most of all, keep your frenemies the closet." I love this quote because it has such meaning. It makes sense because thinking about it, you always want to keep the people that turn on and off like a light switch close to you, because you never know when they will start flickering. In other words, frenemies are very confusing. One day they may be nice, and the next day they can be very rotten. You always want to keep them close so you can keep an eye on their next move.

I have so many favorite quotes I just cant choose one, but one of my favorite quotes is,"Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game." I think that this is a great quote because it means that even if you make a mistake once don't be afraid to try it again. This is also one of my favorite quotes because it is a life long quote.
Another quote I really like is, "The only way to have a friend is to be one." The meaning of this quote is that if you want something you have to be the first to act. For example, if you want people to treat you nice, then you have to be nice to people first.

My favorite quote isn't from I book, (atleast i don't think so) it's from a sign. (Like a street sign, or a sign to hang in a barn...) I saw the sign in a horse magazine, and I just love it. William Chrchill said it.

"There's something about the outside of a horse, that is good for the inside of a man."

I love this quote because, for me, it is so true. If I'm sad or mad, I go out to my horse and hug him or somthing and then I feel better right away. For example, yesterday I was really frustrated and so I got onto my horse, and galloped up a hill in our backyard. Right away, I felt better.

My favorite quote would have to be "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." This is a quote by Helen Keller and I think that life is exactly that. This quote has a lot of meaning to because if you are sitting around your whole life then you aren't going to get anywhere. But if you are setting goals and obtaining them then you will really be able to get some where in life.

Even though I did write about my favorite quote, I do agree with Kaitlyn, there are so many quotes that there isn't really one that I would say is my exact favorite!

I can't possibly have one favorite quote, but I like quotes that make me laugh. An example of this is from the book "Twilight" which I recently read. "I waited for him to say something that made sense. The seconds ticked by." Meaning that "he," a boy named Edward, was not saying anything that made sense. I thought this was funny and it made me laugh out loud, causing my mom and sister (who were in the room at the time) to look at me strangely.

I agree with stephen about what Abraham said. It told me that you can never fool a group of people because all people have different strengths.

I like the quote that colin said (Life is either a daring adventure or nothing). It's so good because I like taking chances because usually something good happens after all the hard work that you did. This also excites me because instead of just sitting around all day you can try activities that you've never done before and I gaurentee that you will have a blast

I like the quote "You snoose you lose" because if you don't try or daydream during a game you will loose. I think you should always try if your losing because you never know what could happen. Also I would tell your teamates too so you can all try and maybe win the game.

My favorite quote is "only through pain will you have beauty> Only through suffering will you find peace." This quote was said by Lisa See, the author of Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. I like this quote because it makes sense. Things like beauty and peace aren't handed to you. This quote makes you realize this.

My favorite quote in Doug Chronicles the Funnie Haunted House is " Me having to walk home from school like a normal, everyday, common person?" because it was funny when Doug pranked her by saying she needed to walk home from school.

My favorite quote is from the book called Behind the Curtin. The quote is "whatever it takes." I like this quote because it's an encouragement to what your doing. If you like something and want to do it then "whatever it takes" to do it.

One of my favorite quotes is from the Clique Series by Lisi Harrison.
-"Dylan is my name Dorothy?" asked Massie
"No." said Dylan
"Then why do you think munchkins would help me?"
As in munchkins it's referring to the small round doughnuts at dunkin doughnuts. If you don't get it read the book It's not easy Being Mean-7th.

I read The Golden Compass and I saw a sentence that I truly LOVED!

"Lyra yawned. It was a jaw cracking, lung bursting yawn that..."

I think that is an amazing sentence because first it gives a wimpy, lame starter sentence that just states what she did, which when I first read I laughed at how short it was.But after that the author gives you a great big descriptive sentence that just blows you away. That truly wowed me! I now try to squeeze those cool, interesting sentences into my writing and everyday talk.

While reading I've come across lots of good quotes, and I don't really have a favorite. An interesting quote from Harry Potter I found is, "Of course it is happening inside your head, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?" I like this quote because it shows that even the craziest things can be real.

My favorite quote I made myself it is, "Writing is everything!" I say this because everywhere you go there is writing. If there wasn't any writing people won't be able to read because no one can wirte it down or type it. I made this quote because I think that it is true.

One of my favorite quotes is from a book that I just read, Feed. it also happens to be the first line in the book. "We went to the moon to have fun, but the moon turned out to really suck." this book is a futuristic/science fiction novel. It started some thoughts, such as; is this how life will be like when we are older, so much technology that all we care about is our feelings. I mean it's the MOON and here is the main character saying that the whole thing stinks. If this is what the future is going to be like, then I'm not sure if I even want to be there to witness it.

My favorite quote is called The Walrus and the Carpenter, from the book Alice in Wonderland. My favorite part of the quote is: “ ‘The time has come,’ the walrus said, ‘To talk of many things; of shoes and ships and ceiling wax, of cabbages and kings; of why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings!’ ” This is my favorite quote because it makes me wonder if there is a message behind these funny words, and if there is, how can I use it in my everyday life? I love challenging myself to figure out the message!

My favorite quote is from the book titled, “The Tao of Pooh,” by Benjamin Hoff. The quote I felt was the most meaningful was, “Of course, REAL progress involves growing and developing, which involves changing inside.” What I feel it means is, to become the person you want to be, you have to grow inside and out. We all grow physically on the outside which is the easier part. To grow and develop on the inside takes time and determination. We have to be able to listen to adults’ advice and think things through. When we can think, we can develop.

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” –Mahatma Gandhi

My favorite quote is by Mahatma Gandhi. It was from a biography I read about him. I like this quote because it has a deeper meaning and is enlightening because it tells you not to take revenge against those who have harmed you. This quote is a strong quote and it is one of the most powerful I’ve ever seen. Gandhi said it in his lifetime before he was assassinated. In this quote, Gandhi says that if you are harmed or wronged, it is wiser and nobler to not take revenge against someone. Gandhi was a man of peace who preached love and nonviolent protest. The above quote is a statement that all people should take to heart.

In the book I am reading right now that is called “Uglies” by Scott Westerfeld includes tons of fabulous quotes. There was a ton that I loved, but one was “He’d said they’d be best friends again, once she was a pretty. But the way he’d looked into her face…maybe that was why they separated uglies from pretties. I just thought in those two sentences, it had so much foreshadowing, and discovery in it.-Liana F

My favorite BOOK specific quote (I already have a collection of ones from movies and TV shows) Was a funny one in "The Schwa was Here". The Character Anthony "Antsy" Bonano is reflecting on how he may have said something smart for once. the quote goes:
"There were only ever two A's I ever saw on my papers. The A in Anthony and the A in Bonano." I thought that it was funny because you never expected it to be repetitive like that, you'd think it would be "The A in Anthony and the A in FAIL" Or something like that.
Chao!
